- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish or a similar capacity fluted baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the cubed butternut squash and apples.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the butter mixture over the squash and apples, tossing gently to coat the cubes evenly.
