  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion, carrots, and celery; sauté until tender (5-7 minutes).
  3. Stir in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, thyme, salt, pepper, and beef broth. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until thickened.
  4. For the batter, whisk together flour, milk, eggs, and salt until smooth; let rest for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and melt butter in a muffin tin.
  6. Pour batter into muffin cups halfway full; top with minced meat filling.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden.
