- 12 large pasta shells
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 ounce taco seasoning
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and salsa; cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Fill each pasta shell with the beef mixture.
- Spread a layer of salsa in a baking dish, arrange stuffed shells seam-side up, top with remaining salsa and shredded cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Serve hot, drizzled with sour cream and garnished with cilantro if desired.
