  • 8 large Napa cabbage leaves
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Dried oregano
  • Smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Blanch cabbage leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until soft. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, rice, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, paprika, and beaten egg. Mix well.
  3. Lay a cabbage leaf flat and place 2-3 tablespoons of filling at the base. Fold sides over the filling and roll tightly.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish and arrange rolls seam-side down on top. Cover with remaining sauce and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the meat is cooked through and cabbage is tender.
