Ingredients
- 1 (12-ounce) can tuna, drained and flaked
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ¼ cup celery, finely chopped
- ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 slices of sourdough bread
- 6 slices of cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine drained tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, celery, and red onion. Season with salt and pepper; mix well.
- Assemble the sandwiches by spreading tuna salad on three slices of bread. Top each with a slice of cheddar cheese and add another slice of bread on top.
- Spread more tuna salad on this layer and top with remaining cheese followed by the final slice of bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat with softened butter spread on both sides of each sandwich. Grill until golden brown and cheese is melted (about 3-4 minutes per side).
- Let cool slightly before cutting into quarters; garnish with fresh parsley.
