  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
  • 1 (15-ounce) can refried beans
  • 1 cup taco sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomato, sliced black olives, sour cream, sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning for one minute.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Place one tortilla on a baking sheet and spread half of the refried beans over it. Layer with half of the taco sauce and half of the cooked beef. Top with one cup of cheddar cheese.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Remove from oven; spread remaining beans, taco sauce, and beef onto the second tortilla. Top with remaining cheese and place it on top of the first layer.
  5. Return to the oven for another 5-7 minutes until heated through.
  6. Garnish with lettuce, tomato, black olives, sour cream, and green onions before slicing into wedges.
