  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the soaked masoor dal. Blend it with green chili, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, salt, and enough water to make a smooth batter.
  2. Pour the batter into a mixing bowl and stir in onions, tomatoes, and cilantro until well combined.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add oil. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the skillet to form a pancake.
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form on the surface. Flip carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or yogurt.
