Description

Gyeran Mari, also known as Korean Rolled Omelette, is a delightful fusion of fluffy eggs and vibrant vegetables that elevates any meal. This traditional dish is not only visually appealing but also versatile enough to be enjoyed for breakfast, as a snack, or as a side dish during lunch or dinner. The unique rolled shape adds a fun twist to your dining experience.


Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Optional: green onions, grated carrot, chopped bell pepper, sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and salt until frothy. Stir in your chosen fillings.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add vegetable oil.
  3. Pour one quarter of the egg mixture into the skillet and swirl to cover evenly. Cook for 2-3 minutes until edges set.
  4. Gently roll the omelette from one side to another into a log shape; push it to one side of the skillet.
  5. Pour another quarter of the egg mixture into the empty side of the skillet and let it cook for about one minute before folding over the rolled omelette. Repeat until all egg mixture is used.
  6. Remove from skillet once fully cooked and allow it to cool briefly before slicing into bite-sized pieces.
