  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion until softened (3-4 minutes), then add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
