Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, salt, and baking powder. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla, then gradually mix in dry ingredients and ground almonds until combined.
  2. Chill dough for at least 2 hours. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out chilled dough to about â…›-inch thick and cut into shapes using cookie cutters. Cut out centers for half of them.
  4. Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes until golden around edges. Cool on wire racks.
