  • 1 large yellow onion, cut in half, thinly sliced into half-moon shapes
  • 1 medium jalapeño pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup (113 g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 package (12-count) Brioche slider rolls
  • 1 recipe cowboy butter, melted, divided

Instructions

  1. Season the steak with kosher salt and black pepper; let rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Caramelize sliced onions in a non-stick skillet with butter until golden brown (25-30 minutes).
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  4. Cook steak in the same skillet until desired doneness (4-5 minutes per side). Let it rest, then slice thinly.
  5. Assemble sliders by layering bottom halves of brioche rolls with cowboy butter, steak slices, jalapeños, cheese, and caramelized onions. Top with the other half of the rolls brushed with additional cowboy butter.
