  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Cholula hot sauce or your favorite brand
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 bell peppers, your choice of colors
  • 1 sweet onion
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 sandwich buns, buttered and grilled
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup homemade guacamole

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, Panko bread crumbs, Cholula hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, cumin, and chili powder. Mix until just combined.
  2. Shape mixture into four equal patties with a slight indentation in the center.
  3. Cook patties on a preheated grill or skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. In a separate skillet, melt butter and sauté sliced bell peppers and onions with garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, and salt until tender.
  5. Assemble each burger by spreading guacamole on toasted buns, adding a chicken patty topped with sautéed veggies and cheese.
