Instructions

  2. Add chopped onion, bell pepper, celery, and minced garlic; sauté until softened (5–7 minutes).
  3. Incorporate sliced sausage; cook until browned (about 5 minutes), then add chicken until no longer pink.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, chicken broth, okra, Cajun seasoning, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil before reducing heat to simmer for about 45 minutes.
  5. Season to taste with salt and pepper before serving hot over cooked rice; garnish with parsley and green onions.
